Italian modern metal project Volturian unveils a music video for “The Killing Joke” off of their debut album “Crimson”. Watch it below.
Founded by vocalist Federica Lanna and songwriter Federico Mondelli of Italian power metal band Frozen Crown, Volturian’s music is based on the huge contrast between mellow, dreamy female vocals and heavy downtuned guitar riffs, with a massive infusion of electronic music. “This album is dark and sexy, with a bit of melancholy but also has a pop and tough soul, reminding the 90s atmospheres that made me dream when I was a teenager,” says Federica about their debut effort “Crimson” that came out on April 24th.
Federica says: “I dreamt of this video since the day we recorded the song, which is my absolute favorite of the whole album! So now I am extremely proud to welcome you into our reign…”
