Anna Holtz is a symphonic metal soprano and songwriter from Italy also known as lead vocalist and founder of Symphonic prog metal band Desdæmona. She studied piano and music composition at Venice conservatory while pursuing her university studies in Popular Music, cultural and gender studies at University of East London. She gained the semifinal at Saint Vincent festival, appeared in TV show Italians got Talent and started a Nightwish tribute band, before founding Desdaemona.

She also took part in some metal projects, mainly as a guest. Her operatic pop career brought her to the production of two singles sung in Italian (one of them is the mesmerizing “Io Chiederò”).

SEASON OF GHOSTS
Simply put, Season of Ghosts is a unique cinematic electro metal act, or, more accurately, spiritually groundbreaking, intergalactic music project, with massive riffs, harsh electronics and compelling vocals, through the spectrum of a sci-fi, horror movie. Throughout their career, they’ve released three studio albums, most recently “A Leap OF Faith” in 2018. The band is fronted by Sophia Aslanidou that will captivate you not only with her voice but exceptional stage presence as well.
The virtual festival will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2020 from 6.00 p.m. CEST and will be hosted on StageIt, the premier online live concert platform, while artists will livestream their sets from home.
Tickets will be on ‘pay what you can basis’ (suggested minimum $5), as we keep in mind that most people have recently lost their jobs or a part of their income and we want this festival to be accessible to as many as possible. ALL THE PROCEEDS OF THE FESTIVAL WILL BE DONATED TO HELP MUSICIANS UK to financially support many artists who are currently out of a job.
