Due to the current circumstances caused by the Corona Virus a lot of shows and festivals had to be cancelled, including the annual Wacken Open Air in the north of Germany. Luckily, the Wacken Open Air just announced an online version of their festival called Wacken World Wide 2020.
Next to other great artists, German symphonic metal band Beyond The Black will play an exclusive, never seen live show via Mixed Reality technology. World Wide Wacken will take place from July 29th to August 1st and will be available for free at wacken-world-wide web or on the website and app of MagentaMusik 360.
WOA states on their website: “In addition to these unique concerts by classic W:O:A audience favourites, our digital streaming festival also brings you newcomers, exclusive interviews and conversations, behind-the-scenes insights and much more. For the Wacken feeling, of course, the Wacken Foundation, the Metal Battle and other well-known and beloved faces will be part of the party.“
