UK extreme metallers Cradle Of Filth have finally revealed the identity of their new keyboardist/backing vocalist. Please, welcome Annabelle Iratni to the band!
Anabelle is a UK-based classically trained vocalist (mezzo-soprano) with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Master of the Arts Degree in Music (Ethnomusicology). Singing in choirs and performing with school orchestras as a small child, she started violin lessons at around age 9 and continued lessons into secondary school as well as piano, vocals and composition. She also plays a modern lyre. Since 2017, Anabelle’s been working on her own blackened horror metal project Veile and joined Dani Filth’s other band Devilment in 2018.
Anabelle comments: “Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I come from a rich musical heritage, with my Italian nan and French/Algerian father both playing the music they grew up with and infusing my ears with lots of different sounds. Growing up in London gave me such a full palette of sounds and gigs and bands to draw on, too. I have such a passion to practice and study this weird human behaviour – music – that fills me good tingly feelings.”
Anabelle already went through her Cradle Of Filth live baptism during their spectacular online stream concert on May 12 , which is still available to view via Veeps until May 26th 10pm BST.
