Slovakia-based symphonic metal band Symfobia parted ways with one of their vocalists, Simone Janovičová. Meet the new singer – Dominika Hodáňová.
The band shared the news regarding line-up changes on September 23, stating that Simona is no longer part of Symfobia due to personal reasons. She commented: “It was not easy to decide, because we were a very good crew – both musically and as friends. In the end, I decided to permanently leave the band and focus on my private life. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the members of the band Symfobia for the beautiful experiences together, unique memories and even my fulfilled dreams. I am also grateful to my fans for the endless support. It was my honor to sing for you. ” Sadly, she adds: “Music remains a part of me, but I rule out any possible activity in another metal band.”
The new vocalist that will be accompanying Erika Strečková is Dominika Hodáňová. Dominika has been singing since she was a child, she studied opera singing for 6 years and is currently continuing her studies at the University in Bratislava. Dominika is a big metal fan. From bands like Nightwish, Epica and Children of Bodom, she eventually switched to black and death metal. She later discovered the charm of doom/rock or experimental and atmospheric music. “I am very much looking forward to our concerts, composing and the first meetings with the fans. Thank you all for your support and I hope to meet the expectations in this great band,” says Dominika.
Stay tuned for more news from the band.
