Serbian alternative model and singer Vanja “Obscure” Plavšić have announced a new union with Madrid-based metal band Thybreath. To celebrate the arrival of Vanja to the band, Thybreath unveil a new demo song “Solitary Creation”. Listen to it below.
From 2012 to 2018, Vanja was frontwoman of a Maltese death/black metal band MartYriuM and supported metal giants like Blind Guardian, Cradle of Filth, Sepultura, Septic Flesh, Mayhem, Rotting Christ and more. She joined death metallers [In Mute] in summer 2019 and released one album titled “Chaos Breeder” as their vocalist. This September, [In Mute] announced that Vanja is no longer their vocalist due to “personal issues outside of the band”.
Vanja on the departure: “I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to create music with my friends for the past year. Working and performing together was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, circumstances lead us to different opportunities that rendered it difficult to pursue further music endeavors together. I wish In Mute continue their career in success and look forward to share the stage with them in the future.”
The demo recording of “Solitary Creation” is the first taste of what to expect from Thybreath with Vanja on vocals in the future.
