Wicked Asylum welcome a new lead guitarist

Italian all-female heavy metal group Wicked Asylum has unveiled the name of their new lead guitarist.

Late September, Wicked Asylum parted ways with their guitarist Federica Fade Mapelli who decided to take a different path. The band now welcomes a new member to take her place. The new Wicked Asylum lead guitarist is already a well-known name and face for the fans – Roberta Freyja.

Freyja comments: “I am thrilled to be part of this beautiful family! The concerts I performed in two years ago gave me the opportunity to appreciate Wicked Asylum from both a professional and personal point of view. As well as talented musicians, they are gorgeous people with whom I immediately found myself on the same wavelength. With them I will have the opportunity to work hard on new projects and above all to have fun: I can’t wait!” She continues: “I will miss having with me on stage the always cheerful Fade who has decided to follow her solo path. I wish her good luck with all her projects but, knowing her, I’m sure she’ll do great! And now… let’s rock together!”

Wicked Asylum was founded in 2009; since 2015, with a new shining line-up, they hit the stage on numerous stages in Northern Italy and Europe. In 2016, they released their first EP “Rebirth” and two videos, “In My Soul” and “Silent Watchers”. Wicked Asylum released their debut full-length album “Out Of The Mist” this year in February. Watch the lyric video for “Sun Will Rise”:
