Beyond The Black announce line-up changes

February 25, German symphonic metal band Beyond The Black announced that Stefan Herkenhoff steps down as their regular bass player.

The band shared the news of his departure through official Beyond The Black fan group on Facebook. Beyond The Black will continue as a four piece with the help of hired bass players on their future live endeavours. Read the full statement below:

“Dear BTB-Fans,

this pandemic is a huge challenge to everybody, sprinkled with an enormous load of uncertainty. Since last year all of us had to deal with changes and a lot of things became clearer – in our private, professional and band lives.

Thus, we made the mutual decision as a band that Stefan won’t be a regular BTB band member anymore and that we – Jennifer, Chris, Tobi & Kai – will continue the band as a fourpiece from now on.

This means that the bassist position will become a flexible one, where we are honored to rely on the support of Stefan and other friends of the BTB family during future live-shows.

Thereby we hope to gain more flexibility and adaptability to the tasks ahead and we cannot wait to finally be back on stage together with you guys.

Thanks for your support in these crazy times – it means the world!

Jennifer, Chris, Tobi, Kai & Stefan”

In case you didn’t know, Stefan is also a founder, guitar and bass player of German alternative metal band Aeranea fronted by Lilly Seth. Last year in December, the band released a new single “Your Idols Awaken” and is set out to release a new album “A Voice for the Lost” on April 16th, 2021.
