Another lineup changes have happened in Sirenia. The band has a new fulltime member. Nils Courbaron has been announced as a new guitar player while Morten Veland, the mastermind of the band, will play the bass on live shows from now on.
Nils stepped in as a session guitarist on Sirenia’s last Europen tour, and although the band was initially searching for a bass player, this turned out to be the best solution. Fans will surely hear some of his amazing guitar solos on the upcoming Sirenia studio album. The first show with the new lineup will be at Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany in August.
Nils comments: “When the band sent me an email after the Female Metal Voices Tour 2017 on which I was invited as a guitarist, I felt so pleased and honoured! Actually, touring with Sirenia was definitely one of my best memories! Because, besides being great musicians, these guys and their music are so cool! I can’t wait to hit the stage with them again! Beforehand, I will join them this summer in the studio to record some leads and solos for the new album. And I’m very excited about that because I can tell you that the upcoming album will really be amazing and surprising! See you all on the road very soon!”
