Swedish doom metal band Draconian will hit the road in early 2019. “The Sovereign Arsonists Tour” will take the band to sixteen major European cities, along with Harakiri For The Sky and Sojourner. See the dates on the poster below.
Draconian have entered the studio in summer, to work on their seventh studio album. Their latest effort “Sovran” was released in 2015. It’s Draconian’s first album to feature vocalist Heike Langhans, who joined the band in 2012 after the departure of Lisa Johansson in 2011.
Unfortunately, the band has been on hold from touring outside Sweden for a while, due to visa issues of Langhans who is South African. “It seems that many people are confused over my situation with Draconian. Some people even going around saying I’ve left the band and Sweden. This couldn’t be further from the truth, so please read our official channels first,” posted the vocalist on her social media in early 2017. “I am IN Sweden and I cannot leave Sweden. My residence permit extension is being processed. Usually, this would take 3-7 months, but because of the Refugee situation (and trust me it is quite the situation), the waiting time is currently 14-22 months. Yes, you read that correctly. I have to wait more than 1 year for a 2-year permit,” she explained her situation.
Now, it seems like her issues are finally solved and fans can enjoy her performance at shows mentioned below.
