Norwegian singer and songwriter Liv Kristine (ex-Theatre Of Tragedy, ex-Leaves’ Eyes, Midnattsol) unveils new single “Gravity”. Listen to it below.
Following “Skylight”, “Gravity” is Kristine’s second solo single after the departure from Leave’s Eyes in 2016. Since then, the vocalist has been focusing on gothic/folk metal band Midnattsol where she sings alongside her older sister Carmen Elise Espenæs, and guest appearances. In May 2018, Midnattsol released their debut album with Liv as a member titled “The Aftermath”.
Last year in December, Kristine revealed that she’s working on a full-length album, due out late 2020: “The composer is Tommy Olsson from Norway, who also composed “Aegis” for Theatre of Tragedy, an album I really love. The musical direction will be between “Aegis” and my last solo album “Vervain”. The themes around the concept will be based on personal experience during my last twenty years. It’s going to be an uplifting, inspiring album about the big, deep feelings, moreover, about letting go of fear and twofold, suppressing relationships.”
