Texas-based progressive metal band Oceans Of Slumber presents a new take on their emotional piece “The Colors Of Grace”. Watch the video below.
“The Colors Of Grace” is taken from Oceans Of Slumber’s magnificent self-titled fourth studio album released in September 2020, a follow-up to 2018’s “The Banished Heart”. The video for the acoustic rendition of the song was recorded and filmed by Landon Hook and Chris Henderson at Hendyamps Studios in Houston, Texas.
Vocalist Cammie Gilbert comments: “ Where there is time, there is space to reimagine. In the idleness of a music industry halted, we were fortunate to make new connections and new friends capable of capturing not only our sound, but the essence of Oceans Of Slumber unplugged. We bring you the ‘The Colors Of Grace’, an acoustic session with Hendyamps Studio.”
“We’ve made something that expands Oceans’ sonic palette beyond anything we could’ve ever imagined,” adds OOS’s founder and drummer Dobber Beverly. “Something we can truly be proud of and the feedback has mirrored this over and over again. We are so excited to show this record to you. For you to hear what change has brought us.”
The original version of the ballad is a duet with Mike Moss of Antimatter, for which the band released a music video back in August:
