US metallers Butcher Babies unleash the second offering off of their forthcoming studio album. Listen to “Sleeping With The Enemy” below.
Following the melodic piece “Bottom Of The Bottle”, “Sleeping With The Enemy” is the second single taken from band’s upcoming fourth studio album, a follow-up to 2017’s “Lilith”.
“This song is about hypocrisy and self-realization,” says vocalist Heidi Shepherd. “We can get so caught up in the rat race of life, as humans we tend to lose track of ourselves and our core values along the way. There comes a point where you look at the perceived problems in your life and realize there is one common denominator — yourself! Whether it’s in the lens you look at life through or an overall attitude, there comes a point where we must turn a negative into a positive. This song is that for me.”
Earlier this week, the band announced a special Christmas live stream event “1st Annual X-mas Party” featuring a 90-minute live performance. The live stream will take place on December 18th at 5pm PST and it will be Butcher Babies’ first and last full show of 2020. The show will be available for streaming on-demand for a week after the show. The band will be playing live and will be able to see the chat from the stage.
