Barcelona-based metalcore act Astray Valley unleashed a new single with Infected Rain’s Lena Scissorhands on vocals. Listen to “Erased” and watch the majestic music video below.
Astray Valley’s new single “Erased” continues the trilogy of singles that started with their previous single “Firehearts“, and will be part of their upcoming album.
The song is very special and personal for the band, especially for the guitarist Joan: “The song talks about oblivion, specifically about Alzheimer, which is an illness that has been present throughout my life, that unfortunately has affected me very closely in recent times with a very important person for me.” He continues: “The song explains my relationship with Alzheimer, the conclusions I have taken, how I decided to deal with it, from a more poetic point of view that better fits the story of the band.”
For this piece, the band invited Lena Scissorhands to join Clau Violette on vocals : “To deal with a subject so close to us, we wanted to have Lena Scissorhands (Infected Rain) , with whom we have had the pleasure of sharing the stage on several occasions and who has brought a very special magic to the subject. All the proceeds from its launch will go to research in the fight against Alzheimer’s .”
