Edmonton based power metal band Hyloxalus to release a new EP this summer.
Hyloxalus is a dark power metal hailing from Edmonton, Canada started in 2017 by Mike Bell (guitars, bass, programming, screaming) based on a couple of old demos. Mike was later joined by Nina Laderoute on vocals. The band plays an operatic power metal with a slight black metal tinge, and is a perfect match for fans of Evergrey, Stratovarius and old Nightwish. Hyloxalus’ upcoming EP “Aposematic” was recorded throughout 2020 and promises a darker sound. The EP features four tracks, including a cover of Black Mirrors’ “Moonstone”, and is due out July 28.
