If you’re a fan of American heavy metal band Trivium, you probably know that their vocalist/guitarist Matthew Heafy streams different kinds of videos on his Twitch channel – from playing video games to vocal warm-ups to acoustic covers. Recently, he performed a bit of Within Temptation’s song “Endless War”. You can listen to Matt’s acoustic rendition of the tune below.
“Endless War” is taken from the Dutch outfit’s brand new album “Resist” that came out February 1st. It is the band’s seventh studio album and marks the longest time gap between album releases caused by exhaustion after extensive touring, writer’s block and personal issues of band’s vocalist. The album was inspired by modern pop music and approaches a more futuristic style. As a complete opposite, Trivium’s frontman decided to use a very simple and minimalistic approach to his cover. Listen to the stripped-down acoustic version of “Endless War” in the following video:
Little over a month ago, Heafy covered Jinjer’s hit “Pisces” on his channel. The song was recorded as a part of Kiichi Karaoke series where subscribers choose one song he has to learn and perform in 30 to 60 minutes. The video is available below.
