Tarja announces “Singing In My Blood” book

Unable to tour, and missing her fans, Finnish soprano Tarja has spent the last year writing her first book “Singing In My Blood”. It includes lots of previously unseen, intimate photographs to illustrate her memories of making music in the studio, on stage and at home. Read more details below.

“Singing is in my blood. Ever since I was a little girl, I have enjoyed performing … but not being able to be on stage in 2020 I spent a lot of time looking through photo albums, seeing all those happy scenes of childhood, growing up and making music, getting to know my fans and travel the world recording and performing, having fun; those memories fill this book,” comments Tarja.

Frustrated at not being able to perform live and see her fans for the past year, Tarja has gone through thousands and thousands of photos of her life. She looked at artworks, sessions, tours, life…and saw how she has grown. It brought back lots of great memories and they’re all in Singing In My Blood.

There will be two hardback editions of this special book, which offers an intimate and behind-the-scenes look at Tarja making music in the studio, on stage and at home. The Signature edition will be signed by Tarja and include two exclusive and unseen 280 x 220mm photographic prints. Both editions include scores of previously unseen photographs as well as contributions from some of Tarja’s closest friends and colleagues, too. Singing In My Blood will be available to preorder in a few weeks, but the website, www.tarjabook.com  is ready now for people to register for the chance to have a name printed in the book and get a discount when preorder begins.

She adds: “In Singing In My Blood I tell my story about making music and share lots of personal photos. I think you’ll love it…”
