Dear Mother – The Ones Below (Music Video)

Alternative metal trio Dear Mother unveils a music video for “The Ones Below” off of their brand new debut album “Bulletproof”. Watch the clip featuring behind the scenes dating from the formation of the band and  leading up the album release below.

The first studio record “Bulletproof” from the Netherlands-based alternative metal trio Dear Mother is available on all streaming platforms and via their webstore. Dear Mother is a band that embraced isolement and took on a full on ‘DIY’ attitude.

“Bulletproof” is more than just an album. The band managed to raise over 30.000 euros to kick start their journey. Unfortunately at the same time the countries went into full lockdown, but that didn’t withhold them from finding ways to succeed their goals from afar. The band took on a full hands-on approach from the recordings, music videos, online store and to take it a step further they also created an online experience which will take you on The Road To Bulletproof – a virtual road trip.

“The biggest challenge though was not being able to meet up in person because of all the isolating restrictions and us living in different countries. During the crowdfunding we went into lockdown. We weren’t able to meet up so we knew that we had to be creative with the situation. ‘Luckily’, we already had experience with isolation, because this is how the whole album was written by sending files back and forth. Everything is done solely by ourselves and isolated: writing the album, recordings, music videos, content creation, shipping the orders. We even met up in a different country, driving 24 hours to get the album signed by David,” says drummer Joey Marin de Boer.

With their brand new music video “The Ones Below”, they share their story from the start to the finish of Bulletproof.
