Vicky Psarakis, the vocalist of The Agonist, has been entertaining her followers with several covers and collaborations throughout the lockdown period with great success. The latest creation on her Youtube channel is a cover of Amaranthe’s explosive single “Boom!1”. Listen to her rendition in collaboration with Quentin Cornet below.
“Boom!1” is taken from Amaranthe’s new album “Manifest” that dropped this October. The song and its fiery apocalyptic visuals feature a cameo from Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies. With this track, the band also challenged their fans to record and show their best “boom” growls. This whole challenge was raised to the next level by Vicky, who covered the entire track and even shot a video in a Harley Quinn costume for it.
Says Vicky: “When Quentin Cornet asked me to cover this song, I had a small panic attack and said “let’s do it!” 😂 Also, it’s Friday the 13th and I have post Halloween blues, and Harley likes blowing up stuff… So yeah!”
