Slovak symphonic metal band Symfobia is back with a music video for their brand new single “Karma”. Watch it below.
Symfobia’s debut album “Way Of The Queen” came out in April 2015. Throughout their career, Symfobia has shared the stage with bands such as Nightwish, Amaranthe, Therion and Arch Enemy. In 2019, Symfobia rocked Ronnie Dio Stage of the legendary Masters of Rock festival along with Tarja, Within Temptation, Amaranthe, Delain and other renowned metal bands. Their second album “Smog Of Tomorrow” came out on March 2nd, 2019.
“Karma” is the first song featuring Symfobia’s new vocalist Dominika Hodáňová who joined Erika Strečková on vocals last year in autumn.
Erika Strečková on the new single: “The lyrics for this song were born during the most strict lockdown in Slovakia. I was inspired by the behaviour of people during this time. It wasn’t easy on anyone, but the grudge and hate that emerged surprised me unpleasantly indeed. People did nothing but complained, cursed, insulted others and wished them bad. As if they didn’t realize that all that energy coming from them will always return like a boomerang. I’ve been experiencing this personally for years, and that’s why I believe in karma. However, people connect karma only with bad things, and they’re afraid of it. But karma is not just about the bad. All the good we do will get back to us in some way as well, so it’s important to keep that in mind. Also, don’t mistake karma for business, in the sense that I give you something, but I want something in return. Actions must be honest; it works only then.”
